CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Jan. 29, 2021) – The FIU men's basketball team faced Charlotte in a Conference USA battle at Halton Arena on Friday night. The Panthers dropped the overtime contest to the 49ers, 63-55.
Overall, the Panthers shot 26.6% from the field and 17.6% from three in the loss. The team went 15-20 from the charity stripe and outscored Charlotte 26-10 off the bench.
Individually,
Eric Lovett posted his first double-double this season, scoring 14 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
Cameron Corcoran led all Panther players with 15 points and went 3-5 from three during the contest.
FIU closes out the series with Charlotte on Saturday, Jan. 30, with tipoff from Halton Arena slated for 4 p.m. ET.
