TALLAHASSEE (October 15, 2021) - The FIU cross country team competed at the FSU XC Invite on Friday, concluding the regular season in Tallahassee with strong performances at Apalachee Regional Park.
"This was a solid test to finish out the regular season," said head distance coach
Jermaine Felix. "Now is the time of the year that counts. We turn our attention to conference next."

MEN'S 8K RESULTS
In the women's 6K, sophomore
Andrea Loizidou set a personal best and led the Panthers with a time of 23:15.
Leonarda Farkas also set a personal record, finishing in 23:33.
Daira Deicmane and
Lisa Adjouadi's personal bests placed them third and fourth, respectively, for FIU, while
Delilah Ayan rounded out the scoring for the Panthers.
On the men's side,
Eliseo Torres once again led the Panthers, crossing the finish line in 26:36. Freshman
Chris Ivonnet was not far behind in an 8K, posting a personal record of 26:42.
Roger Reyes,
Jonathan Pineda, and
Andoni Mercado also scored for FIU.
FIU competes at the Conference USA Championships on October 30. This year's meet is hosted by Charlotte.
