MIAMI (Oct. 21. 2021) – The FIU women's soccer team will be heading to Norfolk, Virginia to face ODU in the Panthers' final road match of the season this Friday, Oct. 22.
Opening kick is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET at the ODU Soccer Complex.

The Panthers are coming off a thrilling overtime contest at home against WKU last week, when FIU was barely edged by a score of 3-2. FIU has played its opponents very closely this season, as 10 of the Panthers' 14 matches have been decided by one goal or less. ODU boasts a 9-3-1 overall record, with the Monarchs' last match resulting in a tie against Charlotte. The Monarchs sit atop of Conference-USA with a 5-0-1 record within league play.
SCOUTING THE MONARCHS
ODU has logged 19 goals on the season, for a nearly 1.5 goals per game average. In addition, the Monarchs have tallied 15.2 shots per game this year, while holding their opponents to only 6.8 shots per game.
During C-USA play, ODU has not allowed a single goal from its opponents. Kasey Perry has posted five clean sheets between the pipes, while tallying 13 saves during C-USA play. Offensively, Carla Morich has tallied seven points during C-USA play, including a league-leading three assists during that span, and two goals.
FIU BY THE NUMBERS
Noemi Paquin posted her fifth goal of the season in the last match against WKU. That mark gives Paquin four goals scored during C-USA matches, which leads the entire conference. Paquin also leads C-USA in overall points during conference play with eight total.
Ithaisa Vinoly sits fifth in C-USA for saves per match with a 4.80 average in conference.
Idelys Vazquez and
Camille Sahirul lead FIU in minutes during C-USA play, with 605 and 604 respectfully.

FIU will host its final contest of the season this Thursday, Oct. 28, when LA Tech comes to town. The match is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET at FIU Soccer Stadium.
