EL PASO, Texas (Feb. 12, 2021) – The FIU men's basketball team faced UTEP at the Don Haskins Center on Friday night. The Panthers fell to the Miners 75-59 during the Conference USA Battle.

FIU shot 43.1% from the field during the loss. The Panthers held the 13-11 advantage in points off turnovers, but the FIU bench was outscored 23-17. Individually, Javaunte Hawkins and Eric Lovett posted 11 points apiece, while Isaiah Banks tallied 10 points and six rebounds for the Blue and Gold.

A rematch between the Panthers and Miners is set for Saturday, Feb. 13, at 9 p.m. ET from the Don Haskins Center.
