MIAMI (Feb. 17, 2021) – The FIU women's soccer team continues its stretch of road games this week, when they travel to Stetson on Thursday, Feb. 18, before heading to FGCU on Sunday, Feb. 21.

The Panthers and Hatters are set to face off at 6 p.m. ET on Thursday, with Sunday's contest against the Eagles beginning at Noon.

STETSON PREVIEW
The Hatters own a 1-0 record in 2021 after losing in their home opener to Georgia Southern by a score of 2-1 on Feb. 13. Senior midfielder Lily Truong found the back of the net for Stetson's lone goal against the Eagles. The Hatters are led by sophomore forward Maddie Struble on offense, who paced the team with seven goals in 2019 and was selected to the 2019 ASUN All-Freshmen Team. Since the year 2003, FIU and Stetson are knotted up in head-to-head matchups with a 4-4-1 record between the two programs.

FGCU PREVIEW
The Eagles hold a 1-0-1 record this season after defeating Utah Valley (1-0, OT) in its home opener and earning a scoreless draw against FAU to follow. Freshman goalkeeper Mia Krusinski has been the standout player for FGCU, as the keeper posted two consecutive clean sheets to start the season and earned back-to-back ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honors. The Panthers are looking for their first victory over the Eagles since defeating FGCU by a score of 1-0 back on Aug. 26, 2010 in Fort Myers.

PANTHER ATTACK
The Panthers are led in points by junior forward Kédie Johnson, who has two goals and an assist in 2021. Sophomore Carmen Marin has displayed play-making abilities in the midfield for FIU, as the Panther leads the team in assists (2), shots (7), and shots on-goal (3). FIU has also seen goals from freshman midfielder Sophia Vilar, who sank a header against Jacksonville in the home opener, and junior-transfer Ronja Cronvall, who scored the game-winning goal on the road this past Sunday against JU in overtime.
