MIAMI (Feb. 20, 2021) – The FIU indoor volleyball team welcomes Marshall for a Conference USA series at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on Feb. 21-22. First serve for both matches is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.

LAST TIME OUT 
FIU fell in a pair of four-set matches at Charlotte last week. Fiorella Murillo posted 23 kills for the series, while Valeria Santos anchored the Panther defense with 27 digs against the 49ers. Autumn Raulerson led the Panthers with 49 assists, and Jovana Vukcevic logged five total aces.

BY THE NUMBERS
As a team, the Panthers are hitting .113 for the season with 9.8 kills per set. Defensively, FIU comes into the series with 1.8 blocks and 12.8 digs per set. Murillo and Emily Meyer lead the Blue and Gold with 2.45 and 2.33 kills per set, respectively. Natalia Martinez paces the squad with 0.79 blocks, while Santos averages a team-high 4.45 digs per set.

SCOUTING MARSHALL
Marshall enters the series at 3-1 this season and 1-1 against Conference USA opponents. The Herd topped Xavier in a pair of five-set thrillers while splitting the series with Charlotte. 

Individually, Ciara Debell leads the Herd with 3.22 kills per set, while Destiny Leon comes into the match with a squad-best .412 hitting percentage. Defensively, Sarah Schank paces Marshall with 5.72 digs, and Leon's 1.31 blocks are a team high.
