MIAMI (March 11, 2021) - The FIU women's soccer team fell to visiting Old Dominion 2-0 on Thursday afternoon, as the Panthers continued action in Conference USA play.
The two squads entered halftime scoreless as the Panthers and Monarchs were neck-to-neck. ODU would score its first goal of the afternoon in the 61st minute, as the Monarchs scored on a breakaway. Later on in the 82nd minute, the Monarchs would score again to put the game away, as ODU chipped in a short-ranged shot.
Angie Ponce Baque shot a team-high four shots on Thursday, with two on target.
Sydney Amparo also logged a pair of shots on goal.
Between the posts,
Kiera Gibson earned a match-high seven saves in 90 minutes of action.
