MIAMI (March 13, 2021) – FIU indoor volleyball welcomes Middle Tennessee to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center for a Conference USA series. The Panthers meet the Blue Raiders March 14-15, with first serve scheduled for 1 p.m. Fans can catch both matches on C-USA TV.

LAST TIME OUT
The Panthers come home after falling at No. 21 WKU last week. As a team, the Panthers averaged 7.83 kills and 9.67 digs per set. Fiorella Murillo led the way with 16.5 points during the series, followed closely behind by Emily Meyer. Murrillo tallied 2.5 kills, and Meyer followed with 2.0 kills per set against the Hilltoppers.

BY THE NUMBERS
FIU averages 9.9 kills while hitting .102 for the season. Defensively, the Panthers log 12.3 digs and 1.5 blocks per set. Libero Valeria Santos records 4.03 digs per set this season. Meyer comes into the series leading the team with a pair of double-doubles during her freshman campaign.

SCOUTING MIDDLE TENNESSEE
The Blue Raiders come to the Sunshine State with a 3-7 overall record this season and a 2-5 mark against league opponents. The team is on a two-match winning streak following victories against Marshall and North Alabama. Middle Tennessee averages 12.6 kills per set while hitting .215 for the season. Kayla Henley leads MT with 2.72 kills per set during her sophomore season.
