MIAMI (March 17, 2021) - Jasmine Nocentini and
Maha Gouda will represent FIU at the 2021 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina, this week as the Panther pair look to finish the year strong.
FIU's duo is scheduled to compete on March 18-20 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. Live championship coverage will air on ESPN3 for prelim and finals sessions, while ESPNU will air a two-hour edited show on Tuesday, April 6.
Nocentini will swim in three events, the 50-yard freestyle (Thursday), 200-yard freestyle (Friday) and the 100-yard freestyle (Saturday) as she makes her first NCAA championship appearance. All swimming prelims will get underway at 10 a.m. each day, with finals taking place at 6 p.m. every night.
Gouda, who earned All-American honors in her last NCAA appearance as a freshman, will dive in the 3-meter (Friday) and platform (Saturday) events. All diving prelims will get underway at 12:30 p.m. each day, with finals taking place at 6 p.m. every night.
The top eight places (1-8) in each preliminary will advance to the evening's finals and earn NCAA All-American honors. The next eight places (9-16) will compete in the 'B' final and will be awarded NCAA All-American honorable mention status.
