BOCA RATON, Florida (March 22, 2021) - The FIU indoor volleyball team completed the season sweep of Florida Atlantic when the squad downed the Owls in straight-sets during the team's Conference USA match at FAU Arena on Monday afternoon. The score stood at 25-21, 27-25, 25-21 in favor of the Panthers. 

As a team, FIU posted the 44-36 advantage with kills and the 41-33 edge with digs. The Panthers hit .241 for the match while holding FAU to a .153 average.

Individually, Emily Meyer posted her fourth double-double, logging 12 kills and 11 digs. Defensively, Valeria Santos tallied a team-best 16 digs, while Yaniris Miller-Green recorded five blocks for the match.

The Panther victory marks the first season sweep of rival FAU since 2015. The historic win is also the first time the team has topped its rivals 3-0 since 2013, head coach Rita Buck-Crockett's first season with the program.
