Softball Drops Pair at Charlotte

Panthers back in action on Sunday

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (April 17, 2021) - The FIU softball team dropped a pair of decisions at Charlotte on Saturday, as the 49ers clinched the series. 

The Panthers and 49ers will play one more time on Sunday, with first pitch set for Noon.

Venessa Gallegos had five hits on the day, with a three-hit performance in FIU's second game of Saturday's doubleheader. Kayla Whitehead drove in two runs in the second game to lead the Panthers in RBIs. 

UP NEXT
FIU will finally return to Felsberg Field on April 23-25 as the Panthers host Marshall for a weekend series. FIU concludes the home slate the following weekend against WKU on April 30-May 2.
