DENTON, Texas (April 23, 2021) - The FIU women's tennis team made quick work of Marshall on Friday afternoon, as the Panthers advanced to the semifinals of the C-USA Championship with a 4-0 victory over the Thundering Herd. FIU will face second-seeded Rice on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.
FIU improves to 11-0 overall on the year, having won its last 16 matches dating back to 2020.
FIU took courts two and three in doubles play, as the Panthers sprinted out to a 1-0 lead on Friday afternoon.

Kamila Umarova and Andejla Skrobonja all earned straight-set wins in singles action to officially clinch the 4-0 victory.
The wins for Umarova and Skrobonja were their second of the weekend at the C-USA Championship.

No. 45 FIU and No. 37 Rice will face off in the semifinals of the C-USA Championship on Saturday, with first serve set for 1 p.m. ET.
