MIAMI (April 28, 2021) - After an impressive run at the Conference USA Championship last weekend, the FIU women's tennis team climbed to 39th overall in the latest ITA Oracle Collegiate Tennis Rankings. The ITA administers college tennis rankings based off the 312 teams across Division I women's tennis.

FIU climbed up six spots from the last release, as the Panthers earned a season-high ranking of 39th overall following their 12-1 record this spring.

The doubles team of Kamila Umarova and Andjela Skrobonja earned their first ranking as a pair, with the tandem coming in at 80th overall. The duo has earned a 5-0 record together this season, with a win over ODU's 60th-ranked doubles team coming in their last outing.

Marina Alcaide jumped up from 107th to 85th in the singles rankings this week, as the senior has earned an 11-0 record for the year. Alcaide's last win came against 92nd-ranked Linda Huang of Rice.
