MIAMI (April 7, 2021) - The undefeated FIU women's tennis team made its debut in this week's Oracle ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings as the Panthers were slotted at 43rd overall. The ITA administers college tennis rankings based off the 312 teams across Division I women's tennis. 

The ITA Top 50 ranking is the first for the program since the 2017-18 season. FIU was also receiving votes in the UTSA College Tennis Top 25 rankings on Wednesday as well. 

After victories over No. 28 Rice and USF this past weekend, the Panthers are 9-0 on the year, which is the best start in program history since 1994. Furthermore, the ranked win over Rice was the team's highest since 2010. Overall, the Panthers have won their last 15 matches.

FIU is idle until April 22-25, as the Panthers travel to Denton, Texas, for the C-USA Championships hosted by North Texas.
