MIAMI (Aug. 28, 2021) – The FIU women's soccer team is set to host the Lipscomb Bisons this Sunday, Aug. 29, as the Panthers play the second match of a four-game home stand.

Opening kick is slated for 12 p.m. ET at FIU Soccer Stadium.

MATCHUP PREVIEW
FIU's last match was a battle that came down to overtime, where the Panthers fell by a 0-1 margin to the UNF Ospreys. Lipscomb has started its season 3-0 for the first-time since becoming a Division 1 program in. The Bisons are coming off a 2-0 victory against crosstown foe Miami (Fla.), which marks Lipscomb's first-ever win against an ACC opponent. FIU's match on Sunday will mark the first-time the Blue & Gold has ever faced Lipscomb. 
 
SCOUTING LIPSCOMB
The Bisons have recorded two-straight clean-sheet matches led by goal-keeper CJ Graham. Through the first three competitions, Graham has totaled 12 saves on 29 shots faced. On the other side of the field, Lipscomb has five players that have at least tallied one goal. They are led by Kale'a Perry with two goals on the season. FIU will be facing a Lipscomb squad that has scored two goals in each of its first three matchups.

FIU BY THE NUMBERS
Ithaisa Vinoly nabbed six saves last match against UNF. The Panther goalkeeper is set to defend goal again after playing a full 90-minutes or more in each of FIU's three games. The Panther attack has been an all-around effort, as Laia Muñoz Danon (2), Elli Kainulainen (1), and Noemi Paquin (1) have all notched goals. Sydney Amparo (2), Idelys Vazquez (1) and Kédie Johnson (1) have helped Panther attackers find the back of the net with assists.

FIU returns to its home pitch to host an in-state foe this Wednesday, Sept. 1, when the Panthers take on the FGCU Eagles. Game time is set for 7 p.m. ET.
