JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The FIU women's tennis team recorded its third win in its last four dual matches overall as it rallied for a 4-3 road win at North Florida on Friday morning.
The Panthers rallied to post wins in four of the six singles matches after North Florida earned the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 3.
Kamila Umarova got things rolling for FIU with a straight set 6-2, 6-4 win in the No. 2 singles slot.
Andjela Skrobonja registered a 6-3, 6-4 at No. 3 and
Andreea Velcea held on for a 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (8-6) win over Isabel Oliveira at No. 4, which sealed the match win.
Basak also posted a 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 triumph against Sean Lodzki at No. 6.
The win improves the Panthers' mark in dual matches to 3-2 overall.
