RICHMOND, Virginia (June 29, 2022) - The FIU women's swimming & diving team has been selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Scholar All-America Team.
"Coach [Randy] Horner is a complete coach that has led this program to excellence in all areas," said Greg Earhart, CSCAA Executive Director.
FIU swim and dive posted a GPA of 3.71 during the 2022 Spring semester to earn the Scholar All-America Team designation, marking the 23rd straight semester that the Panthers have earned the honor.
The program's GPA stands as the highest among Division I women's programs in the state of Florida and ranks as the 11th best in the country among all DI women's swimming and diving teams. FIU also recorded the second-highest GPA among women's swim and dive programs in Conference USA, behind only Marshall.
In total, 731 men's and women's teams from 441 colleges and universities earned the honor for the Spring 2022 semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their Spring 2022 grade point averages and represent 17,845 student-athletes. Click

Schools with a GPA of 3.3 or higher will now become eligible for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition (ICAC) All-Sport Academic Standings.
