NORMAN, Okla. – The FIU volleyball team came up just short on the second day of action at the Oklahoma Invitational, falling to Gonzaga in a hard-fought three-set battle, 22-25, 22-25, 21-25, on Saturday afternoon at McCassland Field House.

Senior
Athina Dimitriadis follow up Friday evening's performance with a season-high 15 kills to lead the Panthers on the day, in addition to recording three blocks and digs apiece to pair with an assist. Graduate middle blocker
Alyssa Wissinger added eight kills and two blocks, followed by junior
Sarah Nading with a match and career-high 33 assists, six digs and three kills and blocks each.

Freshman
Sierra Moore tallied four kills, two digs and a block in her first career start, as
Kira Givans recorded two kills and two digs, followed by
Madison Morgan with a kill and two digs.

Libero
Katie Turner recorded a team-high 15 digs and three assists, while freshman
Madisen Miller notched 11 digs through the match. Sophomore
Paige Thibault added eight digs to round out the Panthers' contributions on the afternoon.

FIU concludes the Oklahoma Invitational tomorrow afternoon, as the Panthers face host Oklahoma on Sunday, Aug. 28, at 2 p.m. ET. The match is slated to be broadcast on ESPN+.
