MIAMI — FIU'S volleyball program (8-9, 4-0 CUSA) returns to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center with an undefeated 4-0 record in Conference USA action. The Panthers look to continue their historic start in a two-game matchup Middle Tennessee State on Tuesday, Oct. 3 and Wednesday, Oct. 4.
Both matches begin at 6 p.m. ET and are available to be streamed live on ESPN+.

FIU completed its third and fourth-straight sweeps to begin CUSA play over the weekend, cruising to victories over Sam Houston State on the road. The 4-0 start for the Panthers in CUSA is the best in program history.
Outside hitter Syra Tanchin was honored by Conference USA as the Defensive Player of the Week after collecting 37 combined digs in the two victories over SHSU.
Tanchin and teammate Mandi Morioka earned this award in back-to-back weeks as they currently sit first and second in digs per set in CUSA action. As a team, the Panthers are fourth in the conference with 13.91 digs per set.
Offensively, FIU is hitting .295 in its first four CUSA matches, which ranks second, while holding opponents to a .176 hitting percentage, third-best in the league. Yasso Amin and Jade Sadeiko are both in the top-10 in hitting percentage while Tanchin and Mackenzie Morgan rank in the top-10 in kills per set.
SCOUTING MTSU
The Raiders sit at an even 2-2 in CUSA play, rebounding from two opening weekend defeats at New Mexico State with two home wins over Liberty.
MTSU brings offensive prowess with a .291 attack percentage, which ranks second in the conference. The Raiders' average of 13.20 kills per set sits third led by the duo of Kayla Henley and Adri Rhoda, whom are both in the top five individually in kills per set.
Another integral piece to the Middle Tennessee attack is Kaylee Oscarson, CUSA's top attacker by hitting percentage (.415).
An area for FIU to exploit comes on its own attacking end as MTSU has also allowed .246 attack percentage to its opponents, the highest mark in the conference. Fans can expect high-powered attacks and an offensive shootout from both sides.

FIU is back on the road after its two-game set with MTSU, traveling to the University of Texas-El Paso for games on Saturday, Oct. 7 and Sunday, Oct. 8. First serves are scheduled for 7 p.m. ET and 2 p.m. ET, respectively, and will be available via live stream on ESPN+.
