NMIAMI — FIU's volleyball program returns to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center this weekend to host Conference USA (CUSA) foe Jacksonville State in two contests on Oct. 27-28.
Fans are encouraged to wear costumes as part of the Halloweekend promotions. Free '305 Volleyball' shirts will be distributed to the first 100 fans in attendance at Friday's match, of which there will be a postgame autograph signing as well.
Both matches will feature special orange tape on the court and appearances from 'Roary', who will be donning a multitude of different outfits.

FIU (10-14, 6-4 CUSA) snapped a five-match losing streak in CUSA play with a sweep of Liberty on the road on Saturday, Oct. 21. The Panthers currently sit fourth in the Conference USA standings headed into the final three two-game matchups of the season.
Setter Savannah Cook received recognition as the CUSA Setter of the Week for her performances against the Flames. Cook had 74 combined assists in two matches and she sits third in CUSA with 9.74 assists per set.
SCOUTING JACKSONVILLE STATE
The Gamecocks (5-15, 3-7 CUSA) enter this tilt coming off a split with New Mexico State. Jax State earned a five-set victory on Friday, Oct. 20 at home before falling 3-0 to NMSU in Saturday's contest.
Ellie Garrett facilitates the offense from her setting position with 8.49 assists per set, fifth-best in CUSA. Brooklyn Schiffli has anchored the back line with 2.91 digs per set.

The Panthers hit the road for their penultimate weekend in CUSA play, facing off with No. 25 Western Kentucky on Nov. 3-4.
