FIU heads into this contest with a total of eight wins, already setting the mark for most wins in a single season since the 2014 campaign. Their CUSA record of 3-1-3 places them fourth in the conference standings with 12 points, just two points out of second-place, Western Kentucky.

With just a game left to play before the Conference USA tournament games next week in Ruston, La, FIU can rise to the second seed in the bracket, which is an automatic first round bye.

Last Sunday, Oct. 22, the Panthers dropped their home finale, losing 2-1 to Louisiana Tech. After allowing two early goals in the second half, FIU tried to claw their way back, cutting the deficit on a goal from Nikole Solis, but fell short on the afternoon.

The 2023 season has been one of the most successful campaigns as a member of Conference USA, already with 356goals, which is the most in their 11 seasons in CUSA, while most since 2012. In addition, their scoring offense of 2.33 goals per game, sits atop of CUSA, while placing second in points (98).

The Panthers have been a steady force defensively, allowing just 14 goals this season, which is on-pace to become the program record in least number of goals conceded in a single-season in FIU history.

Offensively, FIU is led by the trio of Noemi Paquin, Kim Schneider, and Solis. All three have combined for 20 goals thus far as their individual goals scored have met career-highs for each this season. Solis leads the conference in goals (9), while tied for first in points (21). The junior's ninth goal scored this past Sunday versus the Bulldogs is the most scored by a FIU Panther since the 2012 season. Paquin sits atop with 48 shots, and Schneider has tallied a mark of six goals with four assists in her sophomore campaign.

The Panthers backline have played major roles this season with Anna Rockett, Delinda Sehlin, Reagan Bridges leading the way, and having logged over 1,100 minutes on the year.

In net, true freshman Gwen Jordan made her first collegiate last weekend, netting a save in the match.

LAST TIME OUT
Both FIU and Middle Tennessee have matched up a total of 21 times on the pitch, dating back to the 2003 season.

Last season, FIU recorded their first win over the Blue Raiders for the first time since 2016 with a 3-0 clean-sheet victory on Oct. 29 to close out the regular season. Brealyn Viamille, Solis, and Paquin added in with goals in the win.
