The Panthers take on nearby-Fla. National to open a new campaign, the fourth under Head Coach Jesyka Burks-Wiley.
Kaliah Henderson, who was named to the CUSA All-Preseason Team, averaged 15.7 points per game last season and is FIU's top returning scorer.
Tanajah Hayes, also a CUSA All-Preseason Team selection, returns as the top backcourt options with 10.2 ppg and 108 total assists.
Olivia Trice and Maria Torres, who combined for 51 games started, will also play a major factor in this season's success.
Newcomers Mya Kone, Courtney Prenger and more can also be expected to be involved early. Returners Sariana Rodriguez Camacho, Ajae Yoakum, Fantasia James and Courtney Turner will add depth.
