MIAMI, Fla. – The FIU women's basketball team wrap up their home stand this weekend as they welcome the University of Alabama of Birmingham on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. ET inside the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.

The Panthers (11-10, 6-6 C-USA) have moved up in the C-USA standings after their win last game against Charlotte and enter Saturday's contest against the Blazers in fourth place with a 9-5 record at home.
FIU's offense is fourth in C-USA averaging 69.3 points per game and fourth in the league with 125 three pointers made averaging 6.05 per game.
In FIU's previous game, senior guard
Kaliah Henderson recorded a career high 28 points on 53 percent shooting (9-17) and was 8-10 from the free throw line. She was a big factor in the comeback win as 16 of her 28 points came in the fourth quarter. Henderson's double-digit point streak has now reached seven consecutive games.
Henderson's previous scoring record was against the Blazers in their last matchup on Jan. 7 in which she led the Panthers with 25 points and five different players scored double digits.
Henderson is FIU's leading scorer averaging 14.3 points per game, the seventh best scoring mark in Conference USA. On the defensive end, Henderson is fourth in the conference with 43 steals and fifth in the league averaging 2.0 per game.
Redshirt freshman
Sifa Joyeuse is second on the Panthers averaging 10.2 points per game (19
th in C-USA), and is fourth in the conference with 40 threes made this season.
On the glass, the Panthers enter tomorrow's game against UAB second in the conference in rebounds averaging 40.4 per game, and they are also first in C-USA averaging 15.5 offensive boards each contest (326 total).
Senior center
Hope Butera is FIU's leading rebounder averaging 5.7 per game, (12
th in C-USA). Butera is also one of the top rebounders in the conference on the offensive glass averaging 2.70 offensive rebounds per game and second in the league with 57 total.
Defensively, the Panthers are second in the conference with 216 steals this season averaging 10.29 per game and second in forcing 20 turnovers per game for opposing teams. Sophomore guard
Tanajah Hayes leads the conference in steals averaging 2.60 steals per game, and also leads FIU averaging 3.8 assists per game (5
th in C-USA).
SCOUTING UAB
The Blazers enter Saturday's matchup 10-11 on the season and have struggled in conference play with a 2-10 mark. The last time UAB played, they dropped a close contest against FAU, 80-75, and have lost their last three games.
The Blazers are third in the conference in scoring averaging 73.0 points per game on 42.9% shooting. Like FIU, the Blazers' offensive numbers can be linked to their three-point shooting. UAB leads C-USA averaging 8.7 made threes per game and pace the conference with 183 total three pointers made.
UAB has two players averaging double digit points headlined by freshman guard Denim DeShields who leads the team with 13.0 per game and is second in the conference averaging 4.7 assists. DeShields scored her career high, 36 points, against FIU earlier in the season to go along with four rebounds and four assists.
Fifth year guard Margaret Whitley is second on the Blazers averaging 12.1 points and is second in C-USA with 53 three pointers made on 42 percent from behind the arc (1

The Panthers will be traveling next week for a two-game road trip as their first stop will be in Ruston, LA to take on Louisiana Tech on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. ET.
