, the FIU Women's Basketball team dropped its home contest against Louisiana Tech University, 69-62, at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center Thursday evening.
The loss drops FIU to 12-16 overall and 7-12 in conference action, while the Lady Techsters (18-11, 11-8 C-USA) have won six of their last seven games.
Rodriguez Camacho came off the bench to lead the Panthers in scoring and was 3-6 from three-point range. With 4:22 left in the fourth quarter, the Panthers were trailing 60-48 and Rodriguez Camacho scored 10 consecutive points on two three pointers and a layup to cut the lead in half, 63-58.
Sophomore point guard
Tanajah Hayes was another spark off the Panthers' bench scoring 12 points and chipped in two assists and two steals. Hayes has now scored double digits in seven straight games and is averaging 13.4 points in that span.
Senior guard
Kaliah Henderson was third on the team recording 11 points and second on the Panthers with six rebounds. Henderson has now scored double figure points in 14 straight games and 17 of the last 18.

Olivia Trice was the first Panther in this game to reach double digit points and finished with 10 on 2-5 shooting from behind the arc.

Hope Butera paced all players with 15 rebounds with five on the offensive glass while redshirt junior
Mihaela Lazic dished out a new career high seven assists.
FIU shot well from behind the arc making seven three pointers on 35% shooting (7-20) while shooting 37% from the field (22-60). The Panthers forced the Lady Techsters to 16 turnovers and scored 11 points off it while recording eight steals.
LA Tech finished with two players in double figures. Keiunna Walker led all players with 18 points and was first on the Lady Techsters with six rebounds. Salma Bates finished with 13 points, five rebounds, and two assists.
