MIAMI (Mar. 28, 2023) – Baseball was in Coral Gables on Tuesday to take on No. 23 Miami falling to the Canes, 6-5.

Brendan Roney put one over the right field wall for a solo home run, putting the Panthers ahead, 1-0.
Â
Miami responded right away and tied the game in the bottom half of the inning.
Â
The long ball was working again in the next inning when

Â
Dante Girardi made his way to third base with a base hit, a throwing error at first and a passed ball. Sanchez was up next and drove him in with a single to left, his second RBI of the night.
Â
The Canes would go on to tie the game again, this time with a two-run homer run in the bottom of the seventh.
Â
FIU would waste no time getting back out in front, scoring two in the eighth.
