AUSTIN (April 1, 2023) - The FIU Panthers completed action at the Texas Relays on Saturday, with three athletes competing in Austin over the course of the week.
Junior
Filippa Miller's mark of 4.15m equaled her outdoor season best and earned her a ninth place finish in the university elite section of the event.
In the discus, sophomore
Michaelle Valentin nearly set a personal best, as her mark of 54.62m also put her in ninth place.
Earlier in the week, freshman
Christiana Ellina made her Texas Relays debut in the javelin with a throw of 39.97m to place 15
th.
"This was a good experience for everyone against some of best competition in the country," said head coach
Ryan Heberling. "This will prepare us well for important meets coming up."
The Panthers will next compete at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational April 7-8.
