AUSTIN, Texas (June 7, 2023) - Queshun Watson-Riggins capped a standout senior campaign by earning honorable mention All-America honors Wednesday at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a 21st place finish in the long jump.
"Queshun has been such a competitor in his time here at FIU," said head coach
Ryan Heberling. "He deserved to compete on this stage tonight."
RESULTS
Watson-Riggins jumped 7.42m - the same mark that earned him a bronze medal at the Conference USA Championships.
He finishes the season with two bronze medals from conference and three top five finishes. Watson-Riggins is the current school record holder in the long jump, and second in the triple jump.
Thursday action will see pole vaulter
Filippa Miller take center stage, returning to nationals after taking home second-team All-America honors last year in Eugene.
Michaelle Valentin will conclude the action for FIU on Saturday evening.
