AUSTIN, Texas (June 8, 2023) -
Filippa Miller capped her historic FIU career Thursday night in Austin, earning honorable mention All-American honors in the pole vault at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Miller vaulted 4.00m to place 19th.Â
RESULTS
"Filippa had an incredible season, from our first indoor meet in December to the championships today," said head coach
Ryan Heberling. "She won a lot of meets - and represented FIU with class."Â
Miller won six competitions over the course of the indoor and outdoor campaigns, including her historic performance at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships, setting a personal, school, and meet record with her mark of 4.35m.Â
After earning second-team All-America honors last year, Miller departs FIU as the indoor and outdoor school record holder in the pole vault.Â
FIU will see it's final entry of the championships compete on Saturday, as
Michaelle Valentin looks to make her mark in the discus Saturday evening at 8:35 PM ET.Â
