FIU had a brief hiatus from CUSA competition due to weather conditions that saw postponement of its two scheduled mid-week matches with Liberty on Oct. 8-9. The Panthers return to the court this weekend to take on a strong WKU team.
For FIU, Anna Feldkamp continues to shine on the offensive end, totaling 118 kills at a .206 clip this season. The senior from Olathe, Kan. racked up 14 kills in a four-set defeat to Middle Tennessee, hitting .286 to lead FIU. At the setter position, Kaylee Musick has started all four of the Panthers' CUSA matches at setter and has had 20 or more assists in all four contests.
Jillian Huckabey, who did not appear against MTSU, remains inside the top-10 in kills per set in the conference with 3.15 kills per set, ninth-best in CUSA. On the defensive end, Mandi Morioka's 4.06 digs per set rank fifth best in the conference.
SCOUTING WKU
The Hilltoppers enter the weekend on a nine-match win streak and unblemished in CUSA play. WKU continues its historic run in which the Hilltoppers have not lost a regular season match in CUSA since 2018.
Kaylee Cox leads the WKU attack with her 225 kills, an average of 3.52 per set, third-most in CUSA. Cox also leads the conference in overall points with 275.5, showing her versatility as a player.
Callie Bauer facilitates the attack with her CUSA-leading 10.19 assists per set. Defensively, Izzy Van De Wiele sits second in the conference with her 1.52 blocks per set.
