Dallas, Texas - Panthers' standout forward Noemi Paquin wins her fifth consecutive Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week award for the period ending October 13, conference officials announced Tuesday afternoon.
Top-three in several national categories including goals per game (1.00, T-2), points per game (2.15, third), game-winning goals (5, T-2), and fourth in total goals this season (13), Paquin continued her hot streak last week against Louisiana Tech and Sam Houston.
The Canadian native played 72 minutes in a 3-0 victory against Louisiana Tech, with eight shots and one shot on goal, scoring one goal and extending her goal streak to five games in a row, her tenth goal in that time. The senior also produced her second assist of the season on a score by Nikole Solis.
In FIU's second game of the week, Paquin recorded nine shots and had six shots on goal, tying her most shots on goal of the season. The forward scored two goals, her second being the game-winning goal in a 3-1 victory.
This is the first time in Conference USA history that any player has won five CUSA Offensive Player of the Week awards in a row, checking off another box in the historic season that Noemi Paquin is having.
