Miami, Fla. – Conference USA announced their Women's Soccer All-Academic selections Friday afternoon, highlighted by two FIU Panthers in seniors Reagan Bridges and Camille Sahirul.
Bridges, who is now in her fourth and final year as a Panther, has excelled once again on and off the pitch this season. The defender is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science Chemistry and Natural and Applied Sciences, earning a 3.99 GPA thus far this year.
The center-back and leader of an FIU defense that has given up just 14 goals this season, the second fewest in CUSA this season, the Colorado native has played the most minutes on FIU this season at 1,508. A starter in all 17 games this season, Bridges has played 90 minutes 15 times this season, including the last 10 matches in a row.
Forward Camille Sahirul is seeking out a Masters in Kinesiology, holding a 3.96 GPA at this time. The Connecticut native has started in 16 out of the Panthers' 17 games played, and has played 60 or minutes in 11 games, a total of a 1,089, seventh most on the team.
Sahirul has been a veteran facilitator this season for an FIU team that has scored the second most goals in the conference this season at 37, and the most during CUSA-play with 20. Now in her fourth year with the Panthers, Sahirul has put up a career-high assists with six so far on the season, the third most in Conference USA in the 2024 campaign.
FIU is one of three CUSA teams to get two players on the Conference USA Women's Soccer All-Academic team, a testament to the work put in on and off the field. It is the third time for both Bridges and Sahriul that they have been named to the all-academic team.
