MIAMI — FIU's volleyball program concludes its regular season this weekend with two matches against Sam Houston in Conference USA (CUSA) play.
The Panthers (6-24, 4-12 CUSA) and Bearkats (13-14, 8-8 CUSA) will do battle on Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively. Seniors Anna Feldkamp, Colby Lane, Travel Morris and Cameryn Jones will be honored prior to Saturday's match for their contributions during their time at FIU. The Senior Day ceremony will begin promptly at 12:47 p.m.

FIU enters its final weekend of regular season play with a lot on the line, needing just one victory to secure qualification for the upcoming 2024 CUSA Conference Championships in El Paso, Texas. The Panthers are currently on a four-match losing streak, most recently defeated by Louisiana Tech in two matches last weekend.
Jillian Huckabey continues to lead the FIU attack with 311 kills, an average of 2.99 kills per set, eight-most in CUSA. Libero Mandi Morioka sits second in CUSA with her 4.37 digs per set and has the most digs among all conference liberos with 498.
Setter Savannah Cook has a total of 688 assists in 82 sets, facilitating the FIU attack. Feldkamp, a one-year transfer from Loyola-Chicago, has also been an integral part of the scoring output with 223 kills and a team-best .221 attack percentage.
SCOUTING SAM HOUSTON
Sam Houston enters this matchup on a four-match losing streak, losing two to Liberty and two to WKU in their last four CUSA contests. The Bearkats have clinched a postseason berth and currently sit as the five-seed in the upcoming CUSA Tournament.
Sam Houston will have an opportunity to improve its standing, however, pending other results as both NEW Mexico State and Kennesaw State are just two matches ahead of SHSU in the standings. Bearkat libero Hannah Baker has anchored the backline with a CUSA-leading 4.78 digs per set.
Setter Avery Fowler has dished out 857 assists, an average of 8.57 per set, fourth-best in the league. She also had 36 service aces, an average of 0.36 per set, eighth-best in CUSA. At the net, McKenzie Morvant is fifth-best in CUSA with 1.16 blocks per set.
