MIAMI - FIU Women's Basketball to face off against Miami in their first away match of the season on Tuesday, November 19 at 7 p.m.

FIU (1-2) is coming off their second loss in a row on the season to Jacksonville on Wednesday, November 13, 72-54
The Panthers had a strong first quarter, ending the period with a 15-12 lead. Senior Isnelle Natabou led the charge with six points in the frame, and ended the match with 11 points on an efficient 5-6 from the field.
Jacksonville took the lead with just under five minutes to go in the second quarter and kept it for the remainder of the match.
FIU had one other double-digit scorer in Parris Atkins, who led the team with 13 points in the matchup as well as five rebounds and two steals.Â
The Arkansas-native has had a good start to her career as a Panther, leading the team in minutes per game through three contests with 28, to go along with a 54.5 field goal percentage and 15.3 points per game.
Sophomore Fantasia James scored her first points of her career in the third quarter after being out all of the 2023-24 season due to injury.
SCOUTING THE HURRICANES
The revamped 'Canes have a brand new coach this season, and have started the season 3-0 despite being picked to finish eighth in the ACC preseason poll. They are scoring 78.3 points per game and allowing just 65.7 to the opposition. In their most recent matchup, Miami defeated SEC-team Florida 83-73.Â
Graduate student guard Haley Cavinder has been leading the way for the Hurricanes, leading the team with 18.3 points per game to go along with 5.7 rebounds per game. Miami has two other players averaging double-digits on the season thus far in forward Natalija Marshall with 11.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, the latter of which leads the team, and guard Jasmyne Roberts with 11.3 points per game.
This will be the first time the two programs have faced off since 2018, when Miami beat FIU 94-43. The last time the Panthers won against the Hurricanes was during the 2007-08 season, beating Miami 60-58.Â
