FIU fell in a midweek contest, 3-1, to a strong FGCU squad its last time out. Of late, the Panthers have had success in CUSA play, sporting a 4-2 record in their last six conference matches.

FIU needs just one victory in its final four CUSA matches to secure qualification to the upcoming 2024 CUSA Tournament in El Paso, Texas. The Panthers continue to be led by Jillian Huckabey, averaging 3.04 kills per set, seventh-most in CUSA.

Mandi Morioka continues to surge defensively, named the CUSA Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 28. She sits third in the conference with 4.31 digs per set.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS

Louisiana Tech is in search of its first CUSA victory of the season this weekend. The Bulldogs were swept by Kennesaw State on Nov. 1-2 in their last competition.

Louisiana Tech would need to win out and get help to qualify for the CUSA Tournament. Giulia Bonifacio leads the Bulldogs with 191 kills, averaging 2.17 kills per set.

Jailen Hurley can also be expected to factor into the offensive output, attacking at a .209 clip with 1.98 kills per set. La Tech has used Meghan Scharpenberg, Lauren Albrecht and Grace Krohn in the setter position this year.
