The Panthers are in the tournament as the 1-seed for the first time since joining CUSA, winning the regular season championship and clinching a bye into the tournament's semi-finals.
FIU has had a historic season, going 11-4-2 during the 2024 campaign, the most winning results since the 2011 season, as well as 6-1-2 in CUSA play which is the most conference victories since FIU joined Conference USA, earning head coach Jonathan Garbar CUSA Coach of the Year.
The Panthers did very well in the CUSA Postseason Awards, with senior Noemi Paquin notching both CUSA Player of the Year and CUSA Offensive Player of the Year after a conference leading 14 goals and 31 points. Senior Reagan Bridges earned Defensive Player of the Year after leading a defense that let up just 14 goals this season, second in CUSA. Paquin and Bridges both made the CUSA All Conference First-Team, with senior midfielder Deborah Bien-Aime joining them on the list.
