MIAMI — FIU's 28th-ranked women's tennis program swept UTSA on Sunday for its 11th-straight win.
The Panthers took home the doubles' point and the first three singles matches to end to complete the clean sweep. Salma Loudili and Ekaterina Khairutdinova earned a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles to start off the match.
A short time later, Petja Drame and Aleksandra Simeva notched an identical 6-3 win to put FIU up 1-0. At No. 3 singles, Katerina Mandelikova earned the first singles victory for the Panthers, winning 6-1, 6-4.
Khairutdinova picked up her second win of the afternoon with a 6-3, 6-2 win at the top singles slot. With FIU just one point away from a clinch, Loudili won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 4 singles to wrap up the victory.
