FIU scored eight runs combined in the seventh and eighth innings

MIAMI - The FIU baseball program made a close comeback Saturday night, nearly coming back from a ten-run deficit in the seventh falling short, losing 13-10 from FIU Baseball Stadium.

The Panthers trailed 12-2 heading into the seventh, before the Panthers tacked on five runs on four hits making it a 12-7 ballgame. Austin Dearing provided an RBI double followed up by RBI singles from Ryne Guida, Hector Candelas, and Andre Martinez.

FIU cut it to a two-score game in the eighth as three runs came across. The inning began with the bases full and nobody out as Medina scored on a wild pitch. An error by the Seton Hall third baseman brought home Samuel Fischer, while Kishon Frett hit a sacrifice fly.
