MIAMI – The FIU baseball team dropped the series finale to Dallas Baptist Patriots, 11-0, from FIU Baseball Stadium Sunday afternoon.
Dallas Baptist struck first in the third, racking up three runs. The Patriots poured on seven runs in the fifth before tacking on a run in the eighth to earn the win.
Ryan Cabarcas was tagged with the loss (5-4), making his second start of the season, going 2.2 innings of work on the mound, allowing three earned runs with three strikeouts.
Kevin Martin,
Jaydon Bishop, and
Owen Puk each worked innings on the afternoon.
Ryne Guida extened his on-base streak to 28 games with a walk.
