MIAMI — FIU's Oyinlomo Quadre was named the Conference USA (CUSA) Spring 2024 Spirit of Service Award winner for women's tennis, in recognition of her contributions to bettering her community on and off campus.
Quadre, an NCAA national qualifier and First Team All-CUSA selection, continues to add to her decorated career in Blue and Gold. As a member of the Student Athlete Leadership Council (SALC), the Lagos, Nigeria native has been involved in general and community service both at FIU and in the Miami community.
On the executive board of SALC, she has worked with Operation Christmas Child, an initiative around the winter holidays which helps to provide gift-filled shoeboxes to millions of children around the world. Quadre has also stayed invested on campus with volunteering at basketball games and Earth Day projects.
While balancing her duties as a student-athlete, Quadre is also the social media manager for SALC. She is FIU's first CUSA Spirit of Service honoree since women's soccer's Deborah Bien Aime in 2022.
