MIAMI – FIU swimmer and rising junior Nicole Frank competed in her second Olympics Friday morning, representing her home country of Uruguay in the 200-meter individual medley at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.

Frank posted a time of 2:18.00 to finish sixth in her heat and 30th overall in front of a worldwide audience. Her time of 2:18.00 was a 93 second improvement from her time of 2:18.93 at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

"I'm incredibly honored and thankful to be able to represent my home country for a second time at the Olympics," said Frank. "It was an amazing experience I'll never forget, especially being able to showcase my skills on a global stage with the support of my home country and FIU by my side."

With Frank's swim, it officially finishes FIU's representation at the 2024 Paris Olympics as swimmer Oumy Diop competed on Saturday, July 27 representing her country of Senegal. It marks the third straight Olympics FIU has sent at least one athlete to the summer games and the second consecutive Olympics the Panthers have two athletes competing.
