Noemi Paquin Earns Offensive Player of the Week Honors

The senior scored 2 goals and racked up four points against SEMO

Dallas, Texas - Panthers forward Noemi Paquin has been honored as the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week for the period ending September 15, league officials announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The Canadian native played her best match of the season against Southeast Missouri State on September 12, scoring a goal in each half of the game. Her first score came at the 21:15 mark, when junior Catherine Rapp dissected the Redhawks' defense and found Paquin in good position for the game-winning goal.

The forward's second goal came in the 68th minute when she took advantage of a SEMO misplay in their own box which Paquin promptly struck into the back of the net for her second goal of the match, her first multi-score game since the 2023 season when she hit two goals in a victory over UTEP.

The senior has started every match for FIU this season, racking up three goals and one assist in the eight games prior to conference play. Two of her goals came in the last match against SEMO, while her first goal was the game-winning goal in a win over rival Florida Atlantic.

The award is the first for Paquin this season and the first in her career. It is the fourth time this season a Panther has been honored with a Player of the Week award, with Reagan Bridges earning Defensive Player of the Week once, and Valery Restrepo earning Goalkeeper of the Week twice.
