EAST LANSING, Mich. — FIU's golf program secured an eighth-place finish at the Mary Fossum Invitational, hosted by Michigan State.
FIU's performance was highlighted by newcomer Sophie Bohlhoff's 20th-place finish. The freshman from Mommenheim, Germany posted rounds of 73-74-74, shooting +5 over the 54-hole tournament.
The Panthers' eight place finish saw them ahead of Notre Dame and five other Division I programs. Fellow freshman Amandine Seguin was FIU's second-best finisher (t-29th) with rounds of 77-73-73 for a total score of 223 (+7).
Hoi Ki Lau shoot 76-75-74 to finish at +9, securing 34th place. Karissa Kilby and Catalina Harvey rounded out the FIU competitors with scores of +12 and +14, respectively. The Panthers shot 302 in the opening round before shooting 296 and 293, respectively, in the final two rounds.
