MIAMI – Freshman Pauline Zeller earned the American Conference Freshman Swimming of the Week honor, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Zeller had a standout two-day meet vs Liberty this past Friday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 1 from the Doral Aquatic Center.

The Hainaut, Belgium rang native in three top-swims clocking first in the 50 butterfly (24.34), 100 IM (56.97), and 100 butterfly (53.97)  All three times rank as the fastest dual meet times at FIU. In addition, she placed second in the 200 butterfly (2:02.72).

Her time in the 50 butterfly is the fastest in the American, while her 100 fly and 100 IM ranks second in the conference.

It marks the first weekly award of the season for the Panthers.

FIU prepares takes on NSU/Lynn in a tri-meet on Friday, Nov. 7 - Saturday, Nov. 8 at the NSU Aquatic Center. Diving will participate in the South Florida Diving Invitational.
