Women's Basketball Closes Out 2025 with a 122-30 Victory

Eight Panthers put up double-digits in the contest

MIAMI – Eight Panthers scored in double figures, and Adama Badjie Coly recorded the first double-double of her career as FIU cruised to a 122–30 victory over Florida National on Tuesday afternoon.

The Panthers opened the game on a dominant 14-0 run over the first 2:45, followed by another 13-4 spurt over the next 6:30. FIU closed the first quarter with a 29–7 advantage and poured in 36 points in the second frame, breaking the Jesyka Burks-Wiley era record for most points scored in the first half with 65.

FIU kept its foot on the gas in the second half, erupting for 57 points over the final 20 minutes. The win closed out the 2025 calendar year and marked the Panthers' seventh non-conference victory, surpassing last season's total of four.

Senior Parris Atkins led the way with 18 points and five steals. A pair of Spaniards in junior Adama Badjie Coly and sophomore Claudia Marina, each scored 16 points. Coly added 10 rebounds and eight steals, securing her first career double-double and finishing just two steals shy of a triple-double. Marina chipped in three rebounds and two steals to round out her performance.

Sophomore Ndate Ndiaye recorded a career-high 15 points, along with three rebounds and five steals. Junior Judit Valero scored 12 points and added five rebounds and four steals, while redshirt sophomore Fantasia James contributed 11 points, four rebounds, and four steals.

Grecia Ferrer Leal and Denika Lightbourne rounded out the double-digit scorers, finishing with 10 points apiece.

UP NEXT
The Panthers will welcome CUSA newcomer Missouri State to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center for the first game on CUSA-play on Sunday, January 4 at 1 p.m., to be broadcasted on ESPN+.
