ORLANDO, Fla. — FIU's women's tennis program fell 4-1 to 20th-ranked UCF on Sunday. 

The Panthers (2-2) notched a victory over the Knights (4-0) at No. 4 singles as Katerina Mandelikova earned her first singles win of 2025. Mandelikova defeated her opponent in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1. 

UCF took the doubles' point with wins at Nos. 1 and 2. The Knights then clinched the match with victories at the No. 3, 2 and 5 singles positions. 

FIU's matches at Nos. 1 and 6 singles, played by Ekaterina Khairutdinova and Petja Drama, respectively, went unfinished.

The Panthers take on North Florida in their first home dual of the 2025 season on Feb. 21 at 10 a.m.
