MIAMI – The FIU volleyball program unveiled its highly anticipated 2025 schedule on Wednesday afternoon.
The Panthers are set for a non-conference slate featuring matchups against programs from the Big 12, ACC, and SEC, before diving into a 16-match Conference USA (CUSA) schedule that runs from Sept. 26 to Nov. 15.
This year, FIU will have the honor of hosting the 2025 CUSA Championship at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center from Nov. 21–23.
FIU opens the season on Friday, Aug. 29, at the Duke Tournament in Durham, N.C., taking on the Houston Cougars. The Panthers will face Bryant on Saturday, Aug. 30, and close out the opening weekend against Duke on Sunday, Aug. 31.
The Panthers make their home debut at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center by hosting the 305 Challenge. FIU will face Stetson on Friday, Sept. 5, take on Drake on Saturday, Sept. 6, and wrap up the weekend with a Sunday, Sept. 7 matchup against UCF.
From Sept. 12–14, FIU travels to Athens, Ga., to compete in the Georgia Tournament, where they will face Georgia Southern, Presbyterian, and host Georgia.
The Panthers round out non-conference play by hosting the 305 Invitational from Sept. 18–20 at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center. FIU will welcome FGCU and Coastal Carolina, and will clash with crosstown rival Miami on Saturday, Sept. 20. The Hurricanes are coming off an appearance in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
Conference action begins at home with a two-match series against new league member Missouri State from Sept. 26–27. FIU then hits the road for back-to-back CUSA weekends—facing Kennesaw State on Oct. 3–4 in Georgia, followed by a trip to Huntsville, Texas, to take on Sam Houston from Oct. 10–11.
The Panthers return home to host another CUSA newcomer, Delaware, on Oct. 17–18, then make a midweek trip to Fort Myers on Tuesday, Oct. 21, to face reigning ASUN champion FGCU.
FIU enjoys a four-match homestand to begin November, hosting Jacksonville State on Oct. 31–Nov. 1, and Middle Tennessee on Nov. 7–8.
The regular season concludes on the road in El Paso, Texas, as the Panthers take on UTEP from Nov. 14–15 before heading into the CUSA Championship.
