MIAMI – Football's Kejon Owens is set to compete in the 2026 American Bowl on Thursday, Jan. 22, airing at 8 p.m. ET on NFL Network.

The inaugural college football all-star game will be held on the campus of Southeastern University in Lakeland, Fla., and will showcase top national prospects for the 2026 NFL Draft. The event emphasizes NIL athletes while providing professional scouts with an opportunity to evaluate talent. A Miami, Fla., native, Owens will participate as a member of the Guardians roster.

Owens delivered the most productive running back season in FIU history during his senior campaign, rushing for a school-record 1,334 yards — the seventh-most nationally. He added 11 rushing touchdowns, the third-most in program history, while averaging 6.33 yards per carry and posting five 100-yard rushing performances.

A product of Miami Central High School, Owens earned Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week honors twice following standout performances in wins over Florida Atlantic and Western Kentucky. Nicknamed "KJ," he currently ranks second all-time at FIU in career rushing yards (2,262) and is tied for third in career rushing touchdowns with 22.
