MIAMI — Fresh off its first bowl berth since 2019, FIU's football program, entering its second season under head coach Willie Simmons, will open its 2026 Spring Practice slate on Tuesday, March 10. 

The slate features 14 practice days along with the Spring Game on April 11 at 3 p.m.

Below is a schedule of dates for FIU's Spring Football Activities:

On-campus practice sessions will be held at the FIU football practice fields – which are located adjacent to the south side of Ocean Bank Convocation Center.

Practices will not be open to the public. All dates and times are subject to change.

External media will be allowed entry at 10:15 a.m. for the final 30 minutes of practice, with interviews for requested coaches and student-athletes commencing in the approximate window of 10:45 a.m.-11 a.m. FIU Football welcomes all media attendees and will do its best to meet all requests. Below is a list of expectations for media that do wish to attend.

VIDEO/PHOTOS ARE PROHIBITED DURING ALL FIU FOOTBALL SPRING PRACTICE SESSIONS EXCEPT FOR CREDENTIALED MEDIA.

ALL MEDIA MEMBERS WHO WISH TO ATTEND AND SHOOT VIDEO OR PHOTOS DURING FIU SPRING PRACTICE SESSIONS MUST CONTACT THE FIU ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS OFFICE PRIOR TO ARRIVAL TO RECEIVE A MEDIA CREDENTIAL TO COVER EACH PRACTICE.
