DALLAS, Texas - Women's soccer's Maya Maxwell has been named to the 2026 CUSA All-Academic Team for her performances this season both on the pitch and in the classroom.

Studying for her Masters in Business and Government Leadership, Maya Maxwell's stellar classroom performance has seen the senior earn a 4.0 GPA for the academic school year thus far.

Maxwell has seen her success in the clasroom translate to the pitch, playing in every one of the Panthers' 16 matches, starting in nine. The Kentucky native has two goals and three assists on the year totaling seven points, second on FIU. Her two goals were netted in the same match in a victory over Howard, the only brace of her career. Additionally, her three assists lead FIU, and place her tied for ninth in CUSA. Maxwell earned her first career CUSA Offensive Player of the Week honor for the period ending August 30, for her performance against Howard.

This is the first time Maxwell has seen herself placed on the CUSA All-Acadmeic Team, and is the first Panther to make the team since FIU saw two players grace the list in the 2024 season.
