MIAMI – FIU diver Ruska Lehtonen was named the American Conference Diver of the Week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.
 
Lehtonen turned in an outstanding performance during FIU's dual meet against Florida Atlantic on Jan. 31–Feb. 1, posting top scores on the diving boards. In Friday's platform event, the Helsinki, Finland native claimed first place with a score of 269.03, recording a zone cut and registering a top-five platform score in program history.
 
On Saturday, Lehtonen followed with a first-place finish on the 3-meter board, earning another zone cut with a score of 293.10.
 
The honor marks the fourth Diver of the Week award of Lehtonen's career.
